Sesame-Soya Almonds
![]()
My fix...There are nuts and then there are nuts. In private, my friends and I lovingly call the ingredient I'm about to discuss "crack-nuts" because they are so addictive, once you start you can't stop and when you run out you'll do anything to get more. In light of the fact that I am about to reveal my source for these beauties, I guess I accept that I am a pusher of sorts. But I am sure that once you taste them, you'll forgive me...

I'll just eat a few more...There is nothing I like more than people who take pride in their products and care about them like their own children. This is the case at Sunsource - the most amazing nut and dried fruit store around. The Persian owners import, roast or dry and sell all of their products so the quality is retained and ensured at every step of the process. In addition to this, they also make their own recipes and blends of seasonings for certain nuts and this is how I became acquainted with Sesame-Soya Almonds. These dry roasted almonds are coated in a sweet soya layer and then sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. The taste is a perfect combination of sweet, salty, earthy and floral. They are elegant without being stuffy and deliciously
healthy.
Sunsource sells its products at two locations as well as wholesale. They also have great gift ideas and baskets.

Great article! (funny too!) We also discovered this gem in Westmount a while back and haven't stop going there. The nuts are so yummi (especially the almonds and the roasted macadamia nuts) and the warmth we feel, the service we get every single time we go to SUNSOURCE makes it one of our favorite shops in the neighborhood! We didn't know they also had a shop on Laurier. Will have to check it out! Thanks...
